How we deal
Every number on this site can be checked. Here is exactly how they are made.
♠ Five criteria
Each game gets five scores out of 100. The final score is their weighted average, rounded to a whole number. No hidden adjustments.
How many meaningful decisions a run asks of you, and how much they matter.
Whether randomness creates exciting moments you can play around, rather than wins and losses you cannot influence.
Variety between runs, unlocks, difficulty levels and reasons to come back.
Art direction, animation, music, sound and overall atmosphere.
Content and quality for the US list price on Steam.

♦ The luck meter
An editorial estimate from 0 to 100 of how much a typical run depends on chance (draws, rolls, bounces, spins) rather than your decisions. It is not part of the score: a luck-led game can be excellent if its randomness is well designed.
♠ Data
Release dates, developers, publishers, US list prices and Steam Deck ratings come from Steam and SteamDB as of 5 Oct 2026. Playtimes are typical estimates; price per hour is list price divided by that estimate.
♥ No gambling
We only cover games bought once on Steam, with no real-money wagering. We do not review or link to casinos, betting, sweepstakes or paid random items, and nobody can pay for a score or a position.
