♠The table

An eternal winter, the Wildfrost, has covered the world. You lead a small band of companions from the town of Snowdwell into the frozen wilds. Between runs, the town grows, unlocking new cards and companions.

♥How a hand plays

Units sit on a small battlefield and attack when their counters reach zero. Your cards attack, freeze enemy counters with snow, boost allies and apply effects like ink or shells. Planning the order of counters is the core of every fight.

♣Where luck comes in

Draws and companion offers vary, and some runs are rougher than others. But counter management gives a lot of control. It is hard, and sometimes unfair, but usually readable.

The luck meter is our estimate of how much a typical run depends on chance. It is not part of the score. How we estimate it.

♦Look & sound

Beautiful, cosy hand-drawn style with adorable characters. The contrast with its difficulty is part of the charm.

♠Value & PC

Verified on Steam Deck, runs on most PCs. Lots of unlocks and challenges.
