Very good, with a clear niche. Check the 'sit down if' line.

Sit down if

You like monster collecting and tactical puzzles with a bit of dice.

Walk away if

You want a long game with huge variety.

♠The table

You recruit and lead Chimeras on a wheel of three. Fights are turn-based, and only the creature at the front of the wheel acts and takes hits. Rotating the wheel is a key tactical choice.

♥How a hand plays

Dice roll to give you a set of possible actions, such as attack, rotate or special abilities. You choose how to use them and when to rotate, protecting weak creatures and setting up strong ones. Recruiting new Chimeras and upgrading dice shapes your strategy.

♣Where luck comes in

Dice add randomness, but you can modify dice faces and plan around them. It is a moderate-luck tactics game.

The luck meter is our estimate of how much a typical run depends on chance. It is not part of the score. How we estimate it.

♦Look & sound

Bright, colourful creature designs and a soft, pleasant art style.

♠Value & PC

Verified on Steam Deck, runs on most PCs. Shorter than others at our table.

Winning hand

  • Fresh mix of monster-taming and dice
  • Clever wheel mechanic
  • Lovely creature designs

Bad beats

  • Shorter than its peers
  • Less variety after many runs
